| News Comment | McKenna Deal Now Set to Be Confirmed Thursday at 15:25:21
Ask me to cross a t or dot an i and I will do it in a minute. Ask a solicitor to do the same and it takes days. If you then ask a solicitor to query something that needs clarification God only knows how long it will take, |

Blueboyd. What absolute crap you talk. KM went to Christchurch Park after the celebrations to help clear up the mess. No one asked him to or expected him to be there but he wanted to do it. How the hell do you make out that he is disrespectful? |
| News Comment | Chelsea Look Away From McKenna at 12:16:44
This is all media hype. KM has said nothing about leaving and MA said recently "only believe what comes from the club". This is a wonderful club and a great project and KM has publicly said that he is proud to be our manager. Of course his agent will listen to offers and try and make money for his client. Man U have just won the cup and if they then sack their manager how can that be an attractive job? That kind of pressure is not worth any amount of money in my book. Getting paid well without pressure and enjoying your work is ten times better. |
| News Comment | Schwartz Flies Over For Talks With Ashton and McKenna at 20:07:27
If Man u sack a manager after winning the FA Cup what incentive is there for a someone to take the helm? What would you have to do to keep your job? Surely job security is key right now and KM has a fabulous job here. |
| News Comment | McKenna Among Chelsea's Top Targets at 10:25:30
Common sense says stay here. You love the club and the area. You have a young family and amazing support from the owners and Mark Ashton. You are still young and can have a massive career ahead of you without being in a rush. Why walk away from a dream job and security to go into a pressure cooker where demands are high and jobs don't last long? |
| News Comment | McKenna: After the Seasons We've Had There Was Always Going to Be Speculation at 09:13:11
Like anyone he wants to know who is interested in him and what they have to offer. It doesn't mean that he will go but if he puts it on record that he's staying then he will no longer get offers. It's just common sense to keep himself open to offers but I believe that he is happy here and will stay a while longer. What better place to prove himself in the top flight? |
| News Comment | Ashton: Sheeran a Really Special Man at 13:22:49
Maybe he can write an Ipswich Town song? In the Robson days we all sang Ipswich, Ipswich to Amazing Grace and it made your hair stand on end. Certain songs go around every ground but a unique song is special. |
| News Comment | McKenna Linked With Manchester United at 16:25:57
Why leave a dream job to go into a pressure cooker? He has years, even decades of management ahead of him so he can enjoy his early years with us and take on the pressure jobs much later. |
| News Comment | McKenna Joins in Park Tidy-Up at 10:47:52
Has he got an identical twin brother? I can't believe how one man can do so much and still be so calm and in control. He always finds time to do the right thing. |
| News Comment | Hutchinson Recalled to Chelsea at 10:32:55
If I was his father I would definately want him back at Ipswich for another season. He is happy here, he is playing and he is developing his game fast. If I was a Chelsea fan I would see him as a very exciting youngster who is not yet a proven premier league player but being improved massively by the coaching staff at Ipswich. From the Chelsea viewpoint I would be happy for him to be sold or loaned again to Ipswich where he can now be tested in the premier league. As an Ipswich fan (which I am) I want him back as he is a very level headed young man who wants desperately to learn and improve. He loves the way Ipswich play and he has fitted in to the family atmosphere of the squad like a duck to water. The down side for me is his agent who will want a big pay deal or a huge transfer and big wages for his client. Unfortunately money talks and many a promising career has been ruined by big money moves which haven't worked out for the player. Omari loves playing and he needs to play regular football and enjoy it. Sitting on a bench full of millionaires may be good financially but he may never reach his true potential. |
| News Comment | McKenna: I Love It Here! at 10:17:22
When Bobby Robson got offered the England job he said it was the only job that he would leave Ipswich for. I think with McKenna there are only one or two jobs that he would truly want and he's still a very young manager so there's no hurry. He has time to spend here and achieve as much as he can and still have so much time left. Keeping the bulk of this squad together is crucial with just a few top quality additions is the key now. The unity in the squad is amazing and reminds me of the crazy gang (Wimbledon) although a very different style of football of course. |
| News Comment | McKenna: It's Exciting to Be Leading the Project and We Want to Continue That at 09:31:00
Here we have a football manager who loves his job. He loves the area and his kids are young. He is under no pressure from the owners who have backed his every idea and request. So many managers must be looking at his job with envy. I also believe he will stick with the bulk of this squad if we go up with maybe just 3 to 5 quality additions. Too much change could be disruptive and I think he knows how important the togetherness of the players is. |
| News Comment | McKenna: What a Wonderful Position to Be In at 15:30:55
Hirst played like he'd never been away. I hope we beat Coventry to make the last home game a bit less pressured. I think Leeds will win against Southampton because Southampton have nothing to play for and may rest players ahead of the play offs. We all thought it would be a tough game for Leeds but now it's a dead rubber for Southampton and why would they risk key players in what is now a meaningless game for them. |
| News Comment | Leicester Thrash Saints to Go Four Points Clear at 09:33:54
Was this a case of Southampton being resigned to the playoffs and not wanting to risk injury? Let's hope that Hull and Coventry are resigned to not making the playoffs and looking forward to the summer holidays. |
| News Comment | Carrick: Mixed Feelings at 09:54:52
Strange comment that " Possible should have won it". Our keeper made two excellent saves because that's his job and he's good at it. A good keeper earns you points as much as any other team member. Ipswich also several had chances to win it but your keeper, deflections from defenders and the woodwork got in the way. Good teams prevent goals as well as score them. I don't know whether Carrick plays golf but you get nothing there either if the ball nearly goes in the hole. |
