Taylor will be the one for me who will adapt to the Premiership more than anyone else.

Depressing watch that and the people being interviewed seem to have no shame whatsoever.

Chelsea have extended Omari's contract
at 19:27 28 May 2024

Exactly that.

If Chelsea need the cash and can make a 500% profit on a player they bought less than 18 months ago he will be sold.

Only allowed 2 loans although think you can have more than that if they come from Europe so we may start shopping abroad.

They paid 3 million for him not that long ago.

15 million with addons will be roughly what we will sign him for and we will sign him.

Chelsea have to sell a whole lot of youth players to fall in line with financing rules.

Do we think McK was actually serious about leaving?
at 08:59 28 May 2024

Exactly,

If he keeps us up which I believe he will he would have netted the club 240 million+.

Paying him 10 million of that would be good business.

If he gets poached then anything north of a 10 million release clause and his salary would be covered anyway. Win win for everyone.

Schwartz Flies Over For Talks With Ashton and McKenna

How do you know they didnt had their meeting elsewhere and went out for some lunch?

Noone knows anything until we are told officially, thats the way it has been under this ownership and rightly so.

May have been an already scheduled trip over to start planning for next season.

The bed wetting has been off the scale and noone knows anything and speaking bad of McKenna until we know the full facts is wrong.

Professsional football club trials.... thoughts?!
at 11:10 24 May 2024

I tend to agree with you just saying what I have witnessed myself.

Ipswich last year had a mass clear out of their academy U15s and brought in big /strong pacy replacements from far and wide. Technically inferior to the players let go in some cases but the attitude is you cant coach players to be tall and pacy.

The reason for that is until that age you are restricted on how far boys are allowed to travel to come to the academy.

The modern way is to be able to play / understand a variety of positions even at a very young age if you want to get picked up.

I've been involved in managing / coaching for 20 odd years now and at the younger ages they want skill and encourage bravery on the ball but as they get older they favour size and pace and I have seen a lot of very talented boys let go at U15s just because they are not big / strong enough.

Its the modern way sadly.
