Premier League Clubs to Vote on Scrapping VAR
at 15:59:02

If VAR was only used to overturn clear and obvious mistakes by the referee and the assistant referees (aka linesmen) I wouldn't have a problem with it. However, it has been misused to the extent that it interferes too often and deliberates for too long. Agree with others that over 5 years it has got worse, not better, and is puffed up with its own importance - like most things related to the Premier League.

McKenna Linked With Manchester United
at 15:32:45

We know he is the best manager around, but Man United fans won't know who he is, even though he already worked there before. Compare the Ipswich squad of intelligent footballers who love McKenna to the big time Charlies at Man United. The United job is too big for him at this stage of his career, and we all know they demand instant success. I can't see it happening this summer, but is almost inevitable if we continue to do well.

McKenna With Southgate at Villa
at 07:30:45

Kieran McKenna is a superb manager. A move to any club where he would be assisting someone else would be a backward step. Unfortunately, Sir Jim Ratcliffe is bold enough to go for Kieran as Man Utd boss, and that would be a difficult job to turn down. However, Kieran has said he loves it here and he loves the players. He would have more money at United but less time.

Goodman: I've Been Nothing But Complimentary About Ipswich
at 15:06:06

We may have conceded more goals than the 'average' promoted teams, but most of them come straight back down again anyway. I don't expect Kieran McKenna to radically change our approach next season, so we can look forward to more high scoring matches. Some people thought that Woolfenden, Edmundson and Burgess weren't good enough for the Championship, but here we are automatically promoted. Wholesale changes would damage our team spirit which is our greatest asset against the individual brilliance we will be facing.
One thing we can depend on is that the pundits will have already written us off as relegation fodder next season, so expect to be patronised and belittled wherever we go, and hope that we can prove them all wrong.

Town Set New Highest Average Home League Attendance Record

Here is an article that reminds us of how things stood at the time of Mick McCarthy's departure: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2018/04/19/ipswich-towns-attendances-could-

Town Set New Highest Average Home League Attendance Record
at 15:13:51

This is interesting, but our average attendance in League One last season was also higher than any of our seasons in the Championship and the aggregate (more games in League One than the old First Division) was also well above that recorded in 1976/77.

Ipswich Town 2-0 Huddersfield Town - Match Report

Just woke up and checked my phone to confirm the last 2 years wasn't all a crazy dream. A proud day to be a Town fan!
Thanks to the P.A. for not blaring out a bunch of cheesy tunes post match and letting the fans sing their hearts out.

McKenna: I Love It Here!
at 23:39:25

Thank you Kieran and co. for making my 50th season supporting Town one of the most successful and most exciting. Congratulations to Kieran for becoming the second Town manager to achieve 2 promotions. Only Sir Alf Ramsey has done better. Thanks to Farke and Leeds for keeping things interesting until the final day but we are mentality monsters and we have proved again that our team will come out on top over a bunch of individuals. Watch out Premier League!

Breitenreiter: Changes But We Have to Remain Professional
at 19:17:34

Interesting interview. The Huddersfield coach is clearly unimpressed with the effort and fitness of some of his players, but very unusual for a man in his position to air his views so publicly. Could be a trick to motivate a team that will have their relegation confirmed on Saturday. If we stick to our principles we should prevail.

Blue Action Coach Greeting Ahead of Huddersfield

I'd be in favour of this if it was presented as a celebration of an amazing season in the Championship. If it turns into a vainglorious attempt at a march towards the Premier Greed count me out.

McKenna: Up and Down Game, We Know Saturday Will Be Hard-Fought
at 06:02:45

Keep the faith, stick to the principles that have brought us this far and I hope that everyone can enjoy the ride. As Kieran says:
"And you have to enjoy it. I always say to the players, it’s not about the destination. For us, and for me certainly, a lot of the enjoyment comes from the journey and each step along the way."

Brilliant performance from Town again tonight. Special mention for Burgess and Edmundson who both looked solid all night. Coventry made it difficult at times, but we showed our character and resilience yet again. Wonderful result. Let's finish the job on Saturday!

No Dividends For PLC Shareholders
at 18:12:22

When I bought shares in the football club I never expected to see a penny back. The club was in need and I only 'invested' what I could afford to lose. After twenty years without a dividend it smells a bit fishy to be told we will never get one, but agree with others that the costs of paying out a few pence would make it impractical. At least we are finally seeing some real dividends on the pitch.

Leeds Thrashed at QPR
at 07:18:13

Brilliant performance and result from QPR.
It all just goes to show that Kieran has been right all along to focus on our games and not waste time and energy worrying about what other teams are doing. Looking back at some of the comments following our Middlesbrough match when it was going to be Southampton plus one other getting promoted and then when Leeds beat Middlesborough we suddenly had 3 'must win' games.
So congratulations to Leicester who are promoted, FACT, who can look forward to a points deduction on their return to the Premier League.
3 more draws could be enough for us, so I won't be praying for a Norwich win today! In Kieran we trust - just keep doing what we have been doing all season and we will finish where we deserve. And don't forget to enjoy the ride!
