Retained list thread had me looking at our squad
at 20:51 31 May 2024

I reckon there’s 13 senior players who will definitely be part of our squad next season bar a surprise departure. Them being:
Hladky
Woolf
Burgess
Tuanzebe
Clarke
Davis
Morsy
Luongo
Taylor
Chaplin
Broadhead
Burns
Hirst

Up to 12 signings could come in but I suspect we’ll keep another couple of the current squad around and maybe bring back one or two of the loanees from last year to aid familiarity. I suspect Humphreys, Baggott and Al Hamadi will go out on loan, maybe Slicker too.

Strange places you have celebrated a goal

Similarly to you I celebrated the Sarmiento winner in a remote Spanish airport while watching on my phone.

Most of the people sat near me moved away afterwards.

Never afraid to take a full back on and can play on either side.

Possibly wouldn’t be a regular starter but I’d happily take a punt on him as one of our second half impact players

Lucky no one jumped to any conclusions then….

More great news is that the rest of us can come on this forum again without being bombarded with endless bed wetting and nonsense from the worryingly high amount of d1ckheads who had taken over this place the past week.

Leeds or Southampton
at 14:09 26 May 2024

My local is a Leeds supporters pub. I’m half tempted to go down for the match and have a good laugh if they lose but given I’m looking after the little one I’m probably safer watching at home!

Leeds falling apart again or Russell Martin being upset.

I don’t care who wins but I’ll get enjoyment out of whoever loses.

Professsional football club trials.... thoughts?!
at 11:14 24 May 2024

A league one team you say?

Should have told him to make sure he takes 2 mins to take any throw in or free kick he gets and when in possession of the ball to kick it as far as he can up the pitch to a tall, strong kid and make sure he aims for a 0-0 finish at all costs.

They’d have snapped him up.

Could be a bromance here?

Reminiscing about simpler times, like Paul Hurst taking photos of them in their boxers

We’d probably have to stump up a fair bit more than that to get him I’d imagine.

I’d take him at your price range but much more and I think we’d be better off using the money elsewhere.

I don’t think he’ll be back.

Summer shopping list whatever division we are in : THE DEFENCE (n/t)
at 00:19 28 Apr 2024

First goal was Morsys fault and third was Hladkys fault. I’d attribute the second goal more to good play by Hull than any particularly poor defending.

Looks like you’ve just seen we conceded 3 goals and without watching the match assumed it’s all the defences fault.

Foxes Talk cheering us on….

Only one person on that thread called us lucky to be fair, and given the nature of our 2 equalisers against them it’s hardly a surprise some would feel that way, even if we all disagree.

I agree on the not feeling overly happy for them, but given the alternatives to go up were Leeds or Russell Martin then it’s not so bad really. Plus if we go up, having a team start on minus points will be a huge help.

Possibly the worst....

Yeah I couldn’t imagine McKenna being particularly enamoured with him putting 5 goal kicks a game out for a throw in, as good a shot stopper as he was.

We’re all frustrated at the 2 draws we’d have normally won this season, and thus had one foot in the prem, but this is an overly negative take

Town’s most forgettable XI

Chris Goteni. Signed by Mick from some lower league French club.

Not sure if he ever played though so might not count but he’s pretty forgettable.

Anyone else think maybe Southampton aren’t out of it yet?
at 13:52 21 Mar 2024

Agreed. They’re like Barnsley last season, no point worrying about them too much as if they overtake us then we already haven’t done enough for top two.
