| News Comment | McKenna Contract Confirmation Now Expected Wednesday at 22:29:36
It's worth remembering that any club, including ours in the past, will show no loyalty to a manager when he is doing poorly. Do we have the right to demand loyalty from a manager only when he does well? |
| News Comment | Chelsea Look Away From McKenna at 12:39:47
I agree with those who say don't jump to conclusions and don't assume the media are reporting this accurately. It is quite likely that with KMcK being so successful other clubs are approaching his agents trying to recruit him. This DOESN'T necessarily mean he in turn is courting those clubs. The latter would be disloyalty arguably, the former would not. There is a question mark about comms: a statement would ease nerves. But who's flapping? The board? The players? Rosemary the Telephone Operator? Or just fans. It's agony, I feel it too. But Ashton is no fool. He will have contingencies in place should it come to it, and either way, will only announce something when there is something to announce. I suspect KMcK himself is taking a well-earned holiday with his family at the moment perhaps, hence the quiet? |
| News Comment | De Zerbi: Sarmiento Was Important For Ipswich at 20:14:27
We should be prepared for some tough decisions being made. Some fantastic servants over the last 2 seasons may leave as there is no room to keep them. I hope that where that is the case there is mo ill-feeling. Not wishing to sound pessimistic but KMcK and MA will not doubt have a contingency for possible relegation. Whatever happens I hope to hell we don't dilute team spirit. I have every confidence they will have that in mind. |

Must keep Sone at the club in some capacity. Too positive a presence to let go completely. Thanks for everything (so far) glue-boots |
| News Comment | Carrick: Mixed Feelings at 10:16:30
Tbf, he doesn't say "we deserved to win it" or "we were unlucky", just focuses on chances they didn't take. If you're harsh you could pick up on the "should have won" comment, countering with the chances we had, but most managers only focus in their own team when asked for reaction. |
| News Comment | McKenna Nominated For Manager of the Season at 17:38:58
According to the Daily Mail if they are to be believed - there is a clamour growing for Leif to be called up for the England squad if Luke Shaw is unfit for Euros. Bit fanciful but an indication of how Leifs stock is growing |
| News Comment | Martin: We Were the Best Team, We Didn't Deserve to Lose at 09:46:02
Spirit of John, Carrey and Europa Blue: excellent comments. The fan comments on the Southampton Echo page says exactly those things. That Martin is carp at substitutions and can't motivate his players. M9stly nice comments about us but one described our players as "agricultural " compared with there's! That's duelling talk that is. |
| News Comment | Sarmiento Wins Cap in Ecuador Victory at 12:52:31
And given how well Hutch has done/McKenna has done with him, I don't think we're going to have trouble attracting quality loanees whichever division we are in. |
| News Comment | Former Town Striker Wickham Joins Charlton at 20:27:38
I have such a feeling of sadness following Wickham's career. For a while I really thought he would play for England at full cap level. In hindsight we got a good deal out of Sunderland. But I'd actually rather be looking back and thinking we'd been ripped off because he had 30+ caps for England. All the best for the rest of your career Connor and thanks for the fantastic memories. |
