| Forum Thread | Can anyone else see 4321 formation next season? at 14:04 31 May 2024
At least for some games. I'm a liitle concerned that 4231 might see us overrun in the centre of the park. If KMc still wants Davis bombing on with a RB also making runs on the overlap, with only 2 midfielders would we be asking for problems? |

I don’t think he necessarily just understands the culture of the club, he is instrumental in shaping the culture of improvement. He's barely put a foot wrong for three years. |

Business is business isn't it? Said elsewhere, Sarmiento as a permanent signing only for me. Hutchinson on loan or permanent. Whatever, at least one loan needs to have somectop level experience for me. |

I'd have Sarmiento as a permanent signing but not a loan. Only two allowed from British clubs, they should be more Premier experienced than Jeremy imho. If Hutchinson is to probably be a loan if he comes, that would be it. [Post edited 27 May 19:35]

| Forum Reply | Next season we are in mini league of about six at 10:27 27 May 2024
Outside of 6-8 teams (City, United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, Villa, Newcastle) all sides are one poor season away from a relegation battle. A few misfiring signings and injuries to key players and they'll struggle. |

That comment from the Sky commentator when Leeds went top (Feb / March?) really ground my gears. It's curdled now hasn't it. |

Armstrong, Che Adams, Smallbone, Downes, Harwood-Bellis, Downes, Brooks, Walker-Peters (Stuart Armstrong - injured) would all interest me from Saints. Gray, Summerville from Leeds. Some attainable, others no chance I know. [Post edited 26 May 16:23]

| Forum Thread | 100s of empty red seats in that central area at 15:20 26 May 2024
Is that the corporate area? There is no doubtctgese two clubs could fill that stadium yet we're looking at empty seats. Is it because it's raining on them? Crap design if it is. |

Key thing for me is we can only have 2 loans in the Premier League. Hutchinson would be worth one of those spots for me but if Sarmiento were to take the other spot, I would be concerned. On a permanent fo ca. 3 million, though - yes please. He's a gamechanger |

Long advocated this. 5th at home versus 6th. 4th at home versus the winner. 3rd place straight to final at their home ground. All done and dusted in two weeks. This certainly gives the advantage to the higher placed side. It would mean fewer dead rubbers, keep every mid-table team still striving to get into 6th and reward where you finish properly. I'm not sure I agree on the need for 2 new Centre Backs. One maybe but we will, imho, more likely see somec formation changes that make us more defensive and less open. 532 / 352 or 4321 maybe. Can’t see us playing all the time with three attacking players behind one striker and only 2 midfielders and Davis bombing on. We'll need more legs in midfield for sure. |

He wants Hutchinson! Love it - he maybe said it jokingly but I'd guess it's a nice little public nudge to those that matter. |

Rumours will abound but this is one I hope is true. I've said it elsewhere, Sheaf is a fine player. |
| Forum Thread | Glad now we didn't get Sam Gallagher at 13:02 5 May 2024
Moore did exactly what we needed of him and as that was a loan, if KM doesn’t see him as a permanent signing for us in the Premier League, we're not committed. Had Gallagher signed, we'd be committed to a player I personally don't see as good enough for the Premier League. Nice how things have worked out isn’t it! |
