While we're raiding chelsea yoof team for hutch...
at 10:13 3 May 2024

Omari's loan has been brilliant for all parties .

Great credit for such a successful loan is due to his attitude , he has developed so much , but also great credit to the coaching staff and management that have handled things so well.

Hopefully other clubs will have taken note and will be more willing to loan us players.

The question is whether we can keep him here next season

How many points will Town get from 5 (Wat, Boro, Hull, Cov, Hudd)?
at 11:40 7 Apr 2024

Coventry , Hull & Huddersfield have all become harder as they all have something to fight for and Coventry in particular are in good form .

Agreed he was very good , kept the game moving as much as he could . It was also noticeable how quick the video decisions were made .

Davis for ÂŁ20m+
at 11:27 29 Feb 2024

It's in our favour that there's a number of clubs linked to him , including the likes of Newcastle who will pay good money .

If it funds a rebuild it can help strengthen us overall ,but it will also rely on us keeping the manager , his coaching staff and whoever in the recruitment team is finding us these gems.

What a terrific find Davis has been and hopefully Al Hamedi is going to be a similar find

Omari - most improved player
at 20:20 24 Feb 2024

It's the perfect loan , with both clubs benefitting and the player improving so much with the superb coaching .and looking like he's loving his time here. Everyone's a winner !

Hopefully we can negotiate an extended loan for next season too .

Referees inability to prevent time wasting
at 14:04 12 Feb 2024

Don't the refs in rugby warn the captain after persistent infringements that the next incident will result in a yellow card and into the sin bin ?

What happened to the time limit on how long the keeper could hold on to the ball ....does that rule still exist ?

He's terrific , isn't he !

He speaks more sense than most of the pundits .

If you like him , his autobiography is a great read

Do you think Ashton and the US owners are going to roll the dice in January??
at 15:27 17 Dec 2023

Agree we have to take this opportunity to get up , our position is better than we will have expected , but it's too good to ignore .
A central striker to take the whole burden off Hirst , a midfielder and also a dominant central defender , we are leaking too many soft goals - that will kill us at a higher level as we won't be as freescoring as we are now .

Who did you pick as your "surprise" player this season?
at 13:54 30 Oct 2023

Would guess that both Hladky and Burgess , along with the rest of the squad , have benefitted hugely from our coaching staff .

Does this mean all of the Sky matches won't be available to buy on TownTV ?

Who should start in goal?

Long term , probably Walton , but for now Hladky has earned his place .

Walton needs some game time , if that's available before being considered ready to come back .

At what point do new contract talks begin again for McKenna and his staff?
at 10:21 27 Sep 2023

Totally agree .

Going to a big club is a different ball game to what he has here . Instant success is demanded and managers are quickly dismissed .

Owners interfering , spending millions on players with massive egos , whereas here he has assembled a young , happy squad that is growing together .

Just like Sir Bob put together a super squad to rival the big boys , McKenna is doing the same .

Over 19,000 tickets sold for tonight

That's a good crowd for what will virtually be a reserve team match .

Such a shame that clubs don't respect the cup and field their proper 1st teams for fans to watch , it used to be just the top teams that did it , but now everyone does it .

Brighton have got this ...
at 10:05 15 Aug 2023

It's a fiddle isn't it , but surely they will stand to lose millions when they are lumbered with a massive squad of overpaid players on long contracts .

I hate the whole way the Premiership is going , stupid money being paid and the Saudi business is driving me further away from following football at the top level .

According to saturday's fixtures there are just 3 premier games with kick off at 3 o'clock , TV is ruining football too .

Do we want to be in the Premiership?
at 11:36 2 Jun 2023

Totally agree with the OP , the Premiership is simply money driven , with foreign owners that treat the club like a toy , foreign players that are paid ridiculous money , but have no allegiance to the club .
Sky has ruined the football experience , dictating KO times and boring us with incessant comments by numerous " experts " .
MOTD used to be a must view ......not any more for me .

The Premiership is made up of 3 groups of clubs , top 5 with buckets of money , bottom 5 battling to stay up , but overpending to do so and then the rest resigned to being mid table . There's a real danger the Premiership will become as boring as the Scottish football , with the honours shared around a handful of clubs each year .

As for ITFC , I can still remember the excitement of taking on the big boys , who can forget Fabian's goal against Man U , or the thumping we gave Man U years before , or Marcus Stewart's goalscoring .

The chances are that the current owners , who are doing such a brilliant job in moving the club out of the doldrums , will sell out at a profit if we were to get to the Premiership and we would end up with some foreign owners .

Let's enjoy the well earned promotion this year and enjoy our time in the Championship before we worry about the Premiership , but there is a concern that the club would be very different if we did reach the top division .
