Venus was just a makeweight in the deal that saw us sell Sedgley, and yet he went on to be a critical part of our promotion team and then played 23 games in the prem helping us finishing 5th. He/we could never have dreamed of that scenario in the twilight of his playing career... what an absolute legend. And we wouldn't have got there without Mogga either. Best of luck to both of them. |

watching on towntv- the 2 challenges in the box were not penalties. Both players from each team looking for something. Was a handball though. Lucky there was no VAR or it would have been given. Very soft though, and no advantage gained. |

Jewellinthetown- Finidi George was a winger and not a striker so judging on goals is not a fair measure. Plus our top scorer that season had 10 goals and he had 7. I’m not saying he was a good investment, but judge on appropriate data. Strongly believe if we hadn’t lost Richard Wright that year we would have stayed up. |

That was an especially nice feeling today because as well as the obvious advance towards automatic, it's nice to have a bit more belief that we can do this the hard way through the playoffs and get a result against the other top teams. Hopefully it won't come to that… this momentum seems unstoppable at the moment though… Plymouth have some easy games coming up on paper but this might just add that pressure in the backs of their minds… |
