| Forum Thread | Man City 16/1 for relegation at 17:05 30 May 2024
Now the managerial stuff is done with I can look at other interesting odds. SkyBet just tweeted 79% of relegation bets have been placed on City. For once we could have a bit of luck and have the easiest league of the season rather than the toughest. |
| Forum Thread | Jose back to Chelsea at 11:05 24 May 2024
Lots of talk of Chelsea being the high profile name |
| Forum Thread | George Burley just a thought at 18:35 23 May 2024
Did we have to fight off any interest in Burley after he had such a great year in his year in the prem? I don't remember there being much??? |
| Forum Thread | Stadium rebuild at 13:32 23 May 2024
With the stadium rebuild going on, maybe they have accidentally snipped the phone lines so no approaches from Brighton and Chelsea are reaching the club! Seems very odd given all the speculation no approach has been made yet. Makes you wonder if all the speculation is in fact speculation! |
| Forum Thread | The Manchester Untied Interest Could Help at 12:55 23 May 2024
KM stalls on Chelsea and Brighton on the hope that the United job becomes available. United decide they need experience so go with someone like Poch, Chelsea go for second best a go for Maresca and Brighton feel like a third wheel and go for someone like Russel Martin following the Saints loss to Leeds on Sunday. All very hopeful, but I do get the feeling KM is waiting for United which makes sense given they are his boyhood club and he has spent time working there. I just hope United see that he isn't ready for both Our sake, KM's sake and United's sake. |
| Forum Thread | Pundits comparing McKenna to Kompany at 23:45 20 May 2024
Two completely different scenarios, Kompany took over a team with parachute payments who were fully expected to get promotion. McKenna took us from our lowest to the premier league without big money and in doing that has a whole town and county in the palm of his hands. Difficult to put yourself in his position but with all the work he has done and the project he has built here I find it hard to believe he would drop that for Brighton. A club run by it's CEO and backroom, fully reliant on a decent transfer market and scouting network. |
| Forum Thread | Everything wrong with English football... at 10:45 18 May 2024
Leicester & one of Leeds/Southampton being promoted back to the Premier League will save £103m in parachute payments to 2 of those clubs. That £103m will be split between PL Clubs rather than the EFL, after a vote by the PL clubs. [Kieran Maguire] |
| Forum Thread | McKenna player contacts/knowledge at 12:01 11 May 2024
Do we think KM will look at some of the young United and Spurs players he coached. He will have great knowledge of the players that have potential and hopefully like Axe they will know how good KM is. |
| Forum Thread | Hladky Contract at 14:01 10 May 2024
Anyone know what the deal with the contract is, was he just waiting to see if we got promoted so he could ask for more? Is he really in much of a bargaining position, as good as he is and I think he was in the top 3 performers this season, I highly doubt anyone better than us will be looking to sign him. Found it very odd this has dragged on so long, anyone in the know? |
| Forum Thread | Is keeping Davis for next season now a certainty at 13:58 10 May 2024
Seen a few people suggesting who we will be offloading but it got me thinking could we find it tough to keep some of our players. Davis the obvious player, but others could attract some interest. Personally, I would suspect unless Newcastle or someone higher came in he would stay here. But dont think it would be out of the question for Newcastle to be looking at him, he fits their model very well. |
| Forum Thread | Coventry away pubs this evening? at 10:38 30 Apr 2024
Anyone know what it is like around the ground? Are most home fans only? The away pubs listed on some of the away guides look awful, but I guess it is pretty common to give the away fans the rough boozers. |
| Forum Thread | Goal Kick Strategy at 09:36 28 Apr 2024
Seen and heard a lot of "why don't we just clip it up to Hirst rather than play it short, that seems to work when we do that". It's because we mix it up that allows that ball to Hirst to work so well. Also playing short means the opposition especially a high pressing Hull press and leave a lot of space further up the pitch. If we just went long every time the opposition would just fill the midfield and stop the long ball. If only we had a quality manager that knew better than our fans hey... |
