| News Comment | McKenna Representatives Hold Manchester United Talks - Report at 07:01:58
The club is bigger than McKenna. The owners needs to be giving him a deadline, either sign on the dotted line or leave by mutual consent and let the club get on with it. McKenna’s halo is slipping off fast, if he cares as much as he has been saying then he needs to leave and sort his own future out and let Ipswich find a replacement. |
| News Comment | McKenna Among Chelsea's Top Targets at 12:43:16
I really hope he stays and makes good the commitment shown previously to the project and expressing his love for the club so if he leaves then it will leave a slightly sour taste for me at least. Great job so far but it has only just begun. I cant believe, if the rumours are true, that a 5m a year contract at Town is not enough to live on. Just think what possibilities could open up for him if he sees this through, and is successful in establishing us as a Prem club. There would be lots more doors open that just Chelski and Manure. |

I was in the @TheIpswich camp until this started to drag on. There can be no smoke without fire I suppose. Who would replace him is the question? |
| News Comment | Premier League Clubs to Vote on Scrapping VAR at 07:22:22
Newcastles Gordon's comments were spot on last night - "Improve it or scrap" - If it is staying then I have the simple solution to it, if VAR cannot spot any obvious error in a maximum of 60 seconds then it goes with the on field decision and move on. |
| News Comment | McKenna Linked With Manchester United at 12:43:35
Nah, all paper talk for me. Man Utd is the biggest posioned chalice in world football right now, no one in their right mind would take it on unless out of a job and needing the cash. I cant see Ratcliffe choosing a rookie manager despite two promotions, as people have already commented on he wasnt, by all accounts, treated with much respect from the ego boys at Utd, so why go back when the majority are still there? - Makes zero sense to me and McKenna does not strike me as the money grabbing sort. |
| News Comment | McKenna With Southgate at Villa at 13:02:54
Callum Chambers is my bet, only made 3 appearances and 3 subs ones this season, they wanted rid in Jan but got no offers, think he may even be available on a free. |
| News Comment | Goodman: I've Been Nothing But Complimentary About Ipswich at 13:47:52
Think Woolfy needs to keep his thoughts to himself personally, not seen or heard of any actual crticism of ITFC from Goodman? - As for next seaon if there is not a serious defensive overhaul then I am afraid we will be relegated. I think only Burgess and Davis can make the step up. Would be handy to keep Hutch and Sarmiento but I doubt either Brighton or Chelsea will want to loan players to a fellow Prem team. Maybe we can push the boat out and sign them both? |
| News Comment | Town Down to Third Following Leeds Win at 14:13:23
@cheshire_blue - VAR would have ruled that out for sure but wasnt to be. Stevie Wonder would have got that one right for heavens sake !! |
| News Comment | Town Down to Third Following Leeds Win at 09:54:45
Town have had a two week break so hopefully well rested for Saturdays game, dont think much has changed really, three wins are we are promoted. What ever happens its been a brilliant ride so far and could even get better if we beat Norwich in the play-offs. We have to beat them sometime soon so lets make it Wembley if thats how it goes. |
| News Comment | Blues Off Top After Leicester Win at 10:33:04
Are we ready ? - I would hope so now we have a proper management team in place and by that I mean the owners downwards. Wages will have to rise to attract the calibre of player required to compete but I am sure discussions will have already been had on that score. As for KMcK staying with the club, I see no reason why he would want to leave, even if we dont go up. Look what happened to the likes of Graham Potter. He is not daft and knows where his bread is buttered. I hope so anyway. |
| News Comment | FA Cup Replays Scrapped at 13:39:54
About time too. You can also scrap playing the semi-finals of competitions at Wembley please as it devalues the final as Wembley is the prize, not the prize for getting to the semi-finals. |
| News Comment | Morsy: Our Biggest Strength Has Been How We Bounce Back at 08:13:23
Yes, it was against Norwich and yes, losing to them always hurts but the biggest disappointment was that had we actually showed up and won the game we would now be 4 points ahead of Leeds, so not capitalising on their dropped points grates the most. |
| News Comment | Eleven Arrests at Derby at 07:52:09
5 winnable games as you say @bobble - Just so long as we match or better Leeds results that's us up. Champions would be the icing on the cake but happy with 2nd. Lets just hope that that Saturday's dreadful performance is now out of the system. |
| News Comment | McKenna: We Know For Supporters It Would Be a Massive One to Win at 08:58:01
A lot could depend on Moore's fitness tomorrow, I hope if he isnt quite right that he is not started just for the sake of it. My team for tomorrow ....... Hladky - Clarke - Tuzanabe - Burgess - Davis - Morsey - Taylor - Broadhead - Chaplin - Sarmiento - Moore (Al-Hamadi if Moore not fit) - Prediction, Norwich to score first Town to win 1-3 |
| News Comment | Luongo: We've Got to Stick With It at 13:06:26
The first two goals should not have stood and had VAR been in operation they would have been chalked off. That aside, we were very poor first half, I dont know where McKenna gets his "We were not far off it first half" from ? - Miles off it would have been more accurate. Second half was much better but too little too late sadly. If Moore does not start up top against the Baggies I will be gobsmacked. Were still in a great position though but I fear that the lack of defensive signings will eventually cost us. |
