McKenna Bookies' Favourite For Brighton Job
at 21:33:17

I know it's unsettling but in the words of corporal Jones ''don't panic'. There are certainly more reasons why he would want to stay here than go elsewhere. Can't see him being better off at Brighton and Man U is not right time. He is somewhere where he loves to be. It's his first management gig and he's involved heavily in the journey. At this moment in time and for the foreseeable there is no better place to be. End of!

Hutchinson: Ipswich Town Will Always Have a Place in My Heart
at 22:30:36

Only now and again do you watch a player who gets you moving forward in your seat every time he had the ball at his feet. Omari was such a player.

I have a feeling we will see him again in the 'blue' of Ipswich Town.

This season was very special both for him and us!

Magilton: I Saw Greatness in McKenna
at 16:00:57

Awful treatment for a great club servant. He'd just beaten Norwich too! Then Keane arrived and the next 20 years were awful, so to witness some wonderful football under Kieran during the past two years has been just wonderful for both young and old fans.

A credit to our wonderful Club and a shining example to all those people who should know better and either take their litter home or find a bin.

McKenna: I Love It Here!
at 09:52:43

Agree with Arnie,
Kieran's going nowhere. He calls it a journey and two years into it he's only just started.
My guess is he will keep the nucleus of the Team and add maybe up to 6 new players. This is what he has done over the past two seasons and the formula has worked. Love to see Omari and Jeremy back with us.
Really pleased for everyone particularly the younger fans. I've seen five promotions to the top flight in my lifetime including winning the old first division, but for the younger fans they have not seen any success over the past 20 years.
I have a feeling that Kieran McKenna will build something really special at this Club and be with us for many years to come.

McKenna: We're Going to Assess One or Two in the Morning
at 18:13:12

Agree Vaz is much better playing out from the back than Walton, although the latter does command his six yard area better. Certainly would not recommend changing the keeper unless the game is in the bag by the later stages. Vaz has had a marvellous season and saved us countless times but there are occasions when his decision making gets us into trouble. Punching the ball when he can catch it certainly annoys me. I understand our game plan of playing out from the back and creating spaces to build up our attacks but sometimes mixing it up is not a bad thing, particularly when under a hard press and it's difficult to start a move. On reflection I would agree with Timetraveller that rather than Vaz panicking he can sometimes be too casual.
Lets face it all we want to do tomorrow is be able to party come the second half. COYBs .

McKenna: We're Going to Assess One or Two in the Morning

DDM he may give Ali and Walton a run second half is the game is done and dusted, although injuries aside he'll probably keep much of the same Team with either Moore or Hirst starting up top. The front players will be interesting because Omari is on fire at the moment and always capable of turning the match in our favour. Would imagine one Broadhead, Chaplin or Burns will be on the Bench and come on second half.
I agree about Hladky he has had a brilliant season and made some outrageous saves, but he is prone to panic when under pressure playing out from the back and seems to always have his default button stuck on punching the ball when catching it would just relieve the pressure. I'm surprised that the coaches haven't picked him up on that?
I have a feeling though that we are in for a repeat of the Exeter game with a really special end to the Season. What a season it's been! COYBs

Hull City 3-3 Ipswich Town - Highlights
at 12:42:51

Fab Game shame the Commentator didn't know Morsy from Luongo and thought Sarmiento was Broadhead who wasn't even playing. Sort it out Mate!
Both Teams had excellent chances but a draw was probably a fair result. 4 more points and we are up.

Hull City 3-3 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 00:25:30

A point at Hull would normally be considered a good one but two goal keeping errors have cost us 3 points. It's difficult to criticise Hdlaky because he has saved us a few times this season but for me he just does not command his area. In my days of watching some top keepers they caught the ball most of time and only punched out when necessary. Unfortunately it seems to be Hdlaky's default button every time. Surely the goal keeping coaches should be all over this and also instilling into him to make the right choices when playing out from the back. It's happened far too often this season where his concentration lets him down.
Once again Omari was the star of the show and on a positive note I have a good feeling that we'll win on tuesday and next saturday COYB's

Former Blue Evans Promoted From League One Again
at 08:06:32

My nephew will be well pleased watching his Team win League One in the 89th minute. Would imagine scenes similar to our win in the 97th minute against Southampton. Pompey would have enjoyed that result for us as well!!
Obviously Lee Evans is a lucky charm for Teams trying to get out of that awful division!!

McKenna Named Championship Manager of the Season
at 10:39:11

Kieran has been a breath of fresh air to our Club since he walked in the Building. Everyone is on the same page both players and supporters and it's been a joy watching our Team over the past two years. The quality of our football has been exceptional at times!
God knows we have deserved it though after so many dark days under Keane, Jewell, McCarthy and Lambert.

McKenna: Proud of the Performance in Brilliant Game
at 11:13:09

A cracking game with both teams having good opportunities to settle it. Once again Omari was the pick of the bunch. Just a shame that his finishing let him down.
As others have said the two week break will help us recharge our batteries and hopefully see Wes back. Maybe too much for Hirst to get up to speed . We've certainly missed him.
I have a feeling that two wins and a draw maybe enough although you cannot discount Southampton making a late run. Thought they were the best Team to come to Portman Road probably just shading Leeds.

McKenna: We Take the Positives From the Performance
at 08:04:37

A golden opportunity missed! Lets be honest since the Blackburn game we have not been at our best. Last night against Watford's low block we created a few decent chances first half but our final execution wasn't quite good enough. Second half when I thought we might move up a gear there was no real quality. Apart from Omari who was a class apart the others were not at their best. Still we have to remain positive and with four games remaining we are in a better position than 22 other Teams! Roll on saturday!

Downes: Fans Don't Know the Full Story of Town Exit
at 16:42:02

I think most supporters felt that from his body language Downes wanted away, which was probably picked up by Cook.
I seem to remember towards the end of his time at Town that he was running around like a headless chicken and lucky not to receive a red card.
Sad really for someone who'd come up through the ranks with Woolfie because I feel that under McKenna he would have flourished and enjoyed his football again.

Ipswich Town 6-0 Sheffield Wednesday - Match Report
at 18:13:18

Though Omari was on fire today. Scored two goals and took up several good positions where if his team mates had picked out would have completed his hattrick. Also one pass he played across the pitch from left to right when he was down on the ground, second half, was outrageous.
Our central midfield worked tirelessly and Wednesday couldn't cope with the. Only downer on the afternoon was Wes Burns injury which apparently is his hamstring and not good for him or fro the remaining games.

Plymouth Argyle 0-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report

Write us off at your peril....We've sent a message to Leicester, Leeds, Southampton and all those ''know all'' pundits...WE AIN'T GOING ANYWHERE!!!

To only lose 4 matches out of 35 played is extraordinary. At the start of the season I thought we'd have a decent season and surprise a few Teams, but this is beyond all our wildest dreams.

Just goes to show that both the form book and predictions mean nothing so lets sit back and enjoy the rest of the ride!!
