During the Coventry game, I genuinely wished I wasn’t interested in football or supported a team. The sense of relief when we went 2-0 up against Huddersfield was unbelievable. The feeling of impending doom just disappeared. Not anticipating similar stress levels next year… I feel like it’s almost a free hit tbh. |

FWIW he’s a big drifter with Skybet for the Chelsea job. 6/5 to 11/4. In fact, not favourite for any of manager jobs with them. I know the arguments about betting odds, but for comparison Kompany is 1/20 for the Bayern job. So still a way to go I reckon. |

I agree Hutchison and Davis. I also think maybe Hurst and Burns. Hurst holds it up so well and Burns is so direct. Not sure who else. Love Morsy, but think he will get caught out. Broadhead and Chaplin have seemed less effective as the season has gone on. The way we play it’s diff to know about our centre halves tbh. |

Though the most important statistic is obviously the score, if you have a look at the stats of their last 3 games then they arguably have been a bit lucky… |

The table on TWTD says it’s +24, BBC and Flashscore say it’s +23… |
| Forum Thread | Bit more direct? at 11:55 15 Feb 2024
Anyone think we went a bit more direct more often from Hladky last night? Not saying we didn’t go short, just maybe not quite so often. Wonder if this is a slight change of approach due to mistakes or maybe I’m just imagining it! |

I look at it as, which player can we least do without. I would say the answer is Morsy… so I’d like to see a top quality defensive midfielder come in. After that I’d agree with centre forward as Hirst seems integral to how we play and we don’t seem to have a like for like replacement. |

Whenever there is a ‘scene’ like Britpop there’s always gonna be a load of rubbish hanging on the coat tails. There was a decent amount of good stuff that stands the test of time as well though I think. |

Norwich about as successful as Hartlepool. So a sensible sideways move by Sky. |

I thought Clarke was awful. A massive disappointment. No composure and often slightly out of position. |
| Forum Reply | Who would you drop at 08:46 5 Feb 2023
After watching yesterday, I’d be dropping… Keogh (Wolfie may have a mistake in him but at least he has a bit of pace) Clarke (massive disappointment, didn’t seem composed at all) Burns (very poor) Evans (no drive from middle of park - 2 sideways passers is one too many) Too many passive players. We need to be quicker, a bit more direct and positive. Like Edwards was when he came on. |

I don’t post very often, but I enjoy reading a lot of threads. It does seem to get a bit unnecessary quite often. This seems a very sensible and considered post. Hopefully people will respect it. |
