Liverpool and Manchester City Up First For Town

Not an away fixture that Liverpool would want.

Iraola: Moore Could Have Future at Bournemouth

For a fair fee I would have him as a decent squad player but not as a loan. Bamford is injury prone and no longer at his best.

Jackson, Ball and Camara Released as Town Announce Retained List
at 21:36:24

KJ a much better squad player under KMcK and I’m sorry to see him go. A sharp diagonal crosser of the ball but rarely given the credit he deserved. Hope he does well with a new club.

McKenna: Right to Consider Interest But So Happy With Decision I've Made
at 18:31:45

I'm really surprised but delighted that KMcK has taken up the opportunity to explain his thinking. He could have hid behind the speculation but he and the club have played an absolute blinder behind closed doors. The morale at the club must be sky high and the way the club has conducted itself speaks volumes about its integrity and professionalism. ITFC is a very good destination for any player who we wish to attract. There will be bumps in the road this coming season but let's take a leaf out of Luton's fan book and support the team as we navigate the world's top league.

McKenna's New Deal Finally Confirmed
at 17:09:12

All good things are worth waiting for. We may never get to know the ins and outs of the past few weeks unless KMck chooses to answer what he will inevitably be asked. In any industry, the ifs and buts remain unsaid and whilst we supporters have a thirst for knowledge, that’s probably how it will remain.

McKenna Deal Now Set to Be Confirmed Thursday
at 22:39:57

Some folk on here need to get real. The PL is a different kettle of fish from the Championship. Contracts, salaries, sponsorships,tv deal etc are unlike anything we have ever seen. It’s cut throat and that’s why we are fortunate to have experienced people like Ashton and our owners to do our bidding. The club will protect its assets and so must KMcK do likewise. The days of Mickey Mouse negotiations and simple contracts are over.

Chelsea Look Away From McKenna
at 15:34:41

This must be getting very difficult for KMck and Ashton after more than a week of media speculation. In PR terms, both parties will be getting nervous about how this affects the future and supporters attitude to our fabulously talented manager who the club took a risk on . What can said by way of a club statement ? Not a lot but sometimes it is necessary to acknowledge the situation and leave it at that until there really is something concrete.

McKenna Representatives Hold Manchester United Talks - Report
at 13:26:28

It remains to be seen whether KMcK has had talks with anyone. Neither he or Ashton can say anything until there is something to say. We all want him to stay but a wanted man is entitled to explore his options in private.

McKenna Speculation Continues

We can only hope that our club has positioned itself sufficiently well to make KMcK think very, very hard about his decision.

McKenna Bookies' Favourite For Brighton Job
at 17:58:33

Damm. Massive dilemma for KMcK. That said, Potter turned down Ajax so perhaps he too may be in the running. Bookies may be right but they don’t know everything. Good club Brighton but there is a reason that their manager has departed. Let’s hope this is not going to burst our bubble but if it did we will recruit someone to fit the brief.

Ashton: Over the Next Few Weeks Portman Road is Going to Be a Building Site
at 13:03:02

What we are seeing and hearing from now is a proper football Chief Executive. He knows his onions, is sincere and communicates in a manner that instills confidence in everything the club does. His relationship with KMcK, the owners, the shareholders and the fans is a key component of the culture being built which is there for the football world and ourselves to see. Brilliant !

Hutchinson Recalled to Chelsea
at 17:14:14

All loan players are recalled by their host club unless there is a permanent deal already agreed. Lots of issues and opportunities to consider in KMck’s in tray including who we may want to loan out to lower league clubs. The last three words I didn’t think we would ever be able to utter.

McKenna: Incredible Achievement Yet to Sink In
at 19:54:57

Culture is too often an over used word but KMcK is bang on when he talks about the culture he has built amongst the squad and the club. Everybody at ease with each other but competing for a starting place. No big time Charlie’s but determination, grit, passion and flair. Yes we need some recruits but the building blocks are there. Well done team Ipswich and thank you.
