Garvan Could Return - Ipswich Town News
Midfielder Owen Garvan could return to the Town squad for Sunday's East Anglian derby with Norwich City if he recovers from a toe injury. The 18-year-old Irishman is likely to be on the bench against the Canaries.
Garvan missed training this morning due to the toe problem and his condition will be assessed again on Saturday before a decision is taken.
Boss Jim Magilton told the club site: "Owen's made progress over the last few weeks and has got some football under his belt.
"He played 90 minutes for the reserves against Northampton during the week and will be in the squad to face Norwich."
Garvan, outstanding against the Cobblers second string on Wednesday, has been out of action since pre-season after developing post-viral syndrome in the wake of a bout of shingles.
