Nuremberg Fans Don't Want Harry to Leave - Ipswich Town News

Town target Angelos Charisteas is well thought of by Nuremberg fans and they don't want him to leave their club over the summer. Yesterday, news emerged that the Blues are in talks with the German side regarding a £2.5 million move for the Greek international.

TWTD visited Nuremberg's UK fan site 1FCNUK where a poster named Iain told us about the player they call Harry: "As you will know Nuremberg got relegated this season but it wasn't for the lack of Harry's commitment - his goalscoring record over his career is about one in four and he certainly achieved that at 1FCN.

”If Ipswich are looking for a 20-goal a season man then I fear he is not that player. If they are looking for a committed player who will hold the ball up and bring other players into the game and score a few goals, then Harry is a very good choice.

”Though we were relegated, Harry is certainly not one of the players we would like to leave, but when you have been relegated money talks!”

Last season Charisteas scored six goals in 24 Bundesliga appearances, having signed from Feyenoord for €2.5 million (around £2 million) the previous summer.
