Bruce Set for Scan - Ipswich Town News

On-loan defender Alex Bruce is set to undergo a scan on the injury which forced him off after 35 minutes of his Leicester City full debut on Saturday. The Irish international, who is expected to miss this evening’s game at Crystal Palace, is with the Foxes until the end of the season.

Leicester assistant manager Craig Shakespeare said: "Alex has impressed everyone with his personality and enthusiasm since he arrived.

"If anyone deserved some luck it was Alex, but he didn't get it. He has shown great maturity to be patient for his chance.

"Until he got injured he looked very composed and assured. He said he felt something go in his lower abductors and he was assessed on Sunday. He will need a scan before we can assess how bad the injury is.

"He was distraught when he came off the pitch but I put my arm round him and told him that I was convinced he still had a big part to play for us this season."
