On-loan Town striker Ronan Murray scored his third goal for League Two table-toppers Swindon as the Robins beat Burton Albion 2-0 at the County Ground this evening to record their 10th successive league victory. Murray, 20, came on as a 50th minute sub for ex-Town Academy frontman Alan Connell and netted from close range three minutes later.
Manager Paolo Di Canio said: "We tried to change things and sometimes they work, sometimes they don't.
"We needed more fire on the pitch. Alan is a good player but Ronan gave us a little more and he is a fast player.
"We saw that he attacked the far post and arrived at the right time to score. I knew that we could take advantage of flick-ons from [Paul] Benson and that happened. The players deserve the credit, not me.”
The Republic of Ireland U21 international says he's looking forward to Saturday's local derby at Oxford, tweeting: "Four points clear, lads looking good! The biggest game coming up this weekend for the Robins. I'm sure we will be out in force as always! #derbyday"
Murray, who signed a new one-year deal with the Blues in January, is on loan at Swindon for the rest of the season.
