U21s Lose at Brighton - Ipswich Town News
Town’s U21s lost 3-1 to Brighton and Hove Albion at Lancing FC’s Culver Road ground this afternoon. Paul Taylor, the only senior player in the squad, scored the Blues’ goal from the penalty spot in the second half.
The Seagulls were 2-0 in front at the break via Lewis Dunk and Jesse Starkey.
Taylor netted from the spot in the 54th minute after Dunk had fouled Jack Marriott, before Glen Rea added the home side’s third 14 minutes from the end.
Town manager Mick McCarthy was at the game to watch Mark Kennedy’s team in action.
