Klug on Exit - Ipswich Town News
Academy director Bryan Klug has said that yesterday's exit from the FA Youth Cup is not the end of the world for his lads. After reaching the semi-finals last year there had been hopes that the side could go all the way this time around, especially with last year's victors Arsenal out of the competition.
Klug said: "It is a blow, but not the end of the world. We will be judged on how many boys come through the Academy and make the first team. Winning the FA Youth Cup is no guarantee of that. We will now see what reaction we get from the lads. We are ten points clear of the Under-19 league, but have not played as well as we did last season."
