Quartet Could Win Caps - Ipswich Town News

Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Josh Yorwerth, Michael Crowe and Dylan Connolly could all win international caps later today.

Maitland-Niles would win his first England U19s cap if he is involved when they face Germany in Bergisch Gladbach in a friendly (KO 5pm, UK time). The on-loan Arsenal winger has previously been capped at U17 and U18 levels

Defender Yorwerth could win his second U21 cap and keeper Crowe his first when the Wales U21s - who are coached by former Blue Geraint Williams - play Luxembourg away in a Euro 2017 qualifier (KO 5.30pm, UK time).

Wideman Dylan Connolly is in the Irish U21 squad for a friendly against a Qatar U22 side at Bury's Gigg Lane (KO 6pm, free entry).

The quartet are amongst eight Town players currently away on international duty.

Meanwhile, former Blues left-back Tyrone Mings has been ruled out for nine to 12 months with the knee injury which saw him stretchered off during Bournemouth’s 1-1 draw with Leicester on Saturday, the 22-year-old’s Premier League debut.

Mings, who joined the Cherries from the Blues for £8 million this summer, has torn anterior and medial ligaments and will miss the rest of this season and perhaps the start of 2016/17.

Elsewhere, former Town skipper David Norris has joined League One Blackpool until the end of the season, having left Yeovil, where he had been on non-contract terms, after only one game earlier in the week.
