Finidi Set for Recall? - Ipswich Town News
Nigeria manager Adegboye Onigbinde says that Finidi's chance of making the World Cup has not yet gone. The Town midfielder was left out of Onigbinde's squad for this week's friendly with Paraguay at Loftus Road.
The new Nigeria manager said: "I need to meet with some of the players who were at the Nations' Cup. We need to talk frankly. Contrary to what has been reported I have not ruled anyone out yet.
"I want the players to tell me if they still want to play for the national team. Only after that will I know those I can rely upon for the task ahead."
Finidi and Sunday Oliseh, also dropped, have been critical of the new appointment. Both favoured having a foreign manager take them into the World Cup.
