Pitman Out for 10 Weeks - Ipswich Town News
Town boss Mick McCarthy has revealed that striker Brett Pitman is facing 10 weeks out with the ankle injury he suffered at Leeds on Saturday. The Blues manager doesn’t expect to have any of his currently injured players back for this weekend’s game at home to Huddersfield.
"No, no chance,” he said. "Adam [Webster] won’t be, Pits is going to be 10 weeks with his ankle, he’s done a ligament in his ankle.
"He’s going to be six weeks in a boot and two weeks of that will be on crutches, so that was grim reaper news this morning.
"Didzy, no, he’ll be back after the break, we’re probably looking at Newcastle, something like that.
"Luke Hyam is progressing, but none of them for Saturday. What we have is what we go with.”
Jonny Williams won’t be fit until after the international break, although is training, while Tommy Smith (back surgery), Luke Varney (hamstring), Giles Coke (knee) and Adam McDonnell complete the injury list.
