Holland Nominated - Ipswich Town News
Matt Holland has been nominated for Nationwide Player of the Year. The Town skipper has been named amongst the list of eight players which also includes Portsmouth's Steve Claridge, Man City's Shaun Goater and Charlton's Richard Rufus.
After stories earlier in the week suggesting interest in Matt Holland, David Johnson has now also been linked with Manchester City. Johnson, who looked 'awesome' in training yesterday according to observers, has also caught the eye of Craig Brown. The Scotland manager was cautious about appearing to move for Johnson, but admitted he may once again be part of his plans. Johnson committed to Scotland earlier this season until realising that as his mother was English he was ineligible. FIFA are set to rule on the availability of players in his position soon.
Town will be at almost full strength on Sunday with only John McGreal out. The squad going to Bolton is: Wright, Branagan, Wilnis, Croft, Clapham, Mowbray, Venus, Thetis, Brown, Holland, Magilton, Wright, Reuser, Stockwell, Scowcroft, Johnson, Stewart, Naylor, Bramble and Logan. There are a few tickets left for both play-off games, if you still need them, I should get to the Ticket Office as early as possible tomorrow.
