Don't Panic! - Hermann - Ipswich Town News

Town defender Herman Hreidarsson has urged Town fans not to panic despite the club's current lowly league position. The Icelander says that while the current situation is not ideal, fans should not be too worried.

The UEFA Cup has meant that title-hopefuls Town are a long way behind division leaders Portsmouth having had a number of game postponed. However, Hreidarsson says: "It's not something you would choose but neither is it a worry. We are in Europe and we're going to enjoy the experience. We've just got to get on with it, there is no other option.

"Any game you play in, you want to win and that's what we'll be trying to do. We want to go as far as we can in the UEFA Cup."

Hermann is an almost certain starter against FK Sartid this evening and doesn't see them as an easy touch: "We don't look at it as an easy game. The east European teams are always technical and always do well in Europe. They are never a walkover.

"Playing Torpedo Moscow last year gave us an insight into how these teams play. They try to slow the game down, see a lot of the ball and then try to use ther ability up front to nick a goal.

"We must be patient and the fans must be patient. We need an early goal, so that we are not panicking, and then we'll try to add to that."
