Miller Bid Turned Down - Ipswich Town News

Town manager Joe Royle has turned down a loan bid from Sheffield Wednesday for Tommy Miller. New Owls boss Chris Turner was Miller's manager at Hartlepool before the 24-year-old's £800,000 move to Portman Road in the summer of 2001.

Royle said of the bid: "I can understand Chris wanting Tommy; he was one of his main men at Hartlepool.

"At the moment I can't let him go anywhere. Since I've been here he has played one game and done quite well. He's going nowhere."

The midfielder has been suffering with tendinitis recently but looks likely to be involved at Anfield this evening.
