Town's young reserve side lost 1-0 at home to Watford at Portman Road on Wednesday night. Elliott Godfrey scored the only goal of the game in the 16th minute with a header.
The Blues were well below par with their only serious first half effort a Nabil Abidallah corner which was tipped over the bar.
Watford came close to scoring again when Scott Fitzgerald hit the bar.
Antonio Murray was the only impressive performer for the Blues, continuing his recent bright form which has seen him training with the first team.
