Players Awards Evening - Ipswich Town News

The annual Ipswich Town Supporters' Club Players Awards Evening will be held on Sunday, 2nd May in the Legends Bar in the Greene King Stand (7pm - 11.30pm).

As well as the presentation of the Player of the Year award, there will also be trophies for players who have made their first team debut this season.

The academy's top performer will collect the Dale Roberts Academy Player of the Season award.

Following the awards ceremonies, there will be the prize draw - prizes include £100 in cash, a signed Town shirt, a case of Greene King beer and much more..

A hot and cold savoury buffet will be served before the party gets going with a disco until 11.30pm.

Tickets for this event are £16 per person (no concessions) and include entrance to the event and a ticket in the prize draw.

The dress code for the evening is smart casual - no jeans or trainers please.

Those wishing to attend should write to the address below stating how many tickets are required and enclosing a cheque (made payable to ITFC Supporters) for the correct amount.

Also include a self-addressed and stamped envelope so that tickets can be returned to you.

Ticket numbers are limited so order promptly.

Town comprehensively ended their wait for an away victory, George Hirst and Marcelino Nunez each scoring twice as the Blues beat QPR 4-1 at Loftus Road. Hirst nodded Town in front after only 68 seconds from a Sindre Walle Egeli cross, before the home side levelled through Rumarn Burrell on 21. Sixty-eight seconds after the restart, Nunez smashed home a brilliant free-kick, his first goal for the club, then Hirst headed his second in the 57th minute, before the Chilean scored his second free-kick of the afternoon on 64 as Town claimed their first win on the road since April.
