Royle Has Two Targets - Ipswich Town News

Town manager Joe Royle says he has two loan targets and may even have at least one of them in his line-up which faces Gillingham on Saturday. Arsenal youngster Justin Hoyte is set to be one of the players, while the second is likely to be a frontman.

Royle said: "We know who we want and we are waiting for them. We have not received a firm answer one way or the other to either of our enquiries, which means all we can do is wait. But things can change very quickly."

The Town manager is still refusing to confirm that Hoyte is the defender he has targeted as a season-long loanee but insists that the deal is still likely to take place.

Hoyte is expected to finally join the Blues once Arsenal have signed another right-back as cover for Lauren, a deal for Ajax's Hatem Trabelsi having fallen through. With Arsenal minds possibly more focused on Patrick Viera's future at present, the move could still take a little while to be completed.

Royle has been looking for a striker who is better at holding the ball up than those currently in his squad, while it remains likely that Hansa Rostock-targeted Shefki Kuqi or top-earner Pablo Couñago could leave the club by the end of the August transfer window.
