Joe: No Imminent Loans - Ipswich Town News
Town boss Joe Royle says he is not expecting to bring in any loan players imminently but doesn't deny he has made a few enquiries. The Blues were linked with Palace's Dougie Freedman and West Brom's Darren Moore at the weekend but Royle is keeping the identities of his potential targets close to his chest.
Royle said: "I've never denied that I have made enquiries about a number of players, and the possibility of them joining us on loan, but I'm not going to get involved in a yes-no interlude.
"We will see what happens in the future, but at the moment I am not looking to make loan signings for the simple reason that I don't have to."
West Brom boss Gary Megson says that he won't let central defender Darren Moore leave the club on loan, despite a number of Division One clubs including Town reportedly having shown interest: "Darren is a strong hard-working player with the right attitude and we need to have men like him around the place. I do not want to lose him."
