Bent on Goal - Ipswich Town News
Striker Darren Bent has admitted he was concerned his goal which gave the Blues victory over Leeds might not count. Bent challenged Neil Sullivan for the ball after the keeper had failed to hold on to Shefki Kuqi's shot.
Bent told the club site: "Sometimes you get those decisions go for you and sometimes you don't.
"I looked towards the linesman when the ball went in the net because I wasn't sure it would stand.
"Shefki had a goal disallowed at Leicester a few weeks back and that wasn't as close as my one.
"The gaffer always tells me I don't score enough of those scrappy goals. I think it hit both shins before it went in but they all count and I was delighted it proved to be the winner."
