Like many clubs, their following is massively inflated due to Premier League membership. Let's compare in a year's time shall we |

And yet they had done it themselves a couple of seasons ago - more than once. Do they think we wouldn't remember? |

I'd get that stadium finished asap if I was Everton. Stop paying those builders and see what happens. Shame, always liked them as a proper club of the people. And glad to get promoted so I can have one more trip to Goodison. |

People who don't believe it's real, and here, should be offered free luxury housing in low-lying areas of Florida. If the oceans aren't warming and the ice isn't melting, then they will have nothing to worry about. |

They were in the Greyhound on Saturday night, saying hello to lots of fans, shaking hands, selfies etc. They had a car parked outside and we speculated they were going to different bars where Town fans were congregated. I think they're allowed a flight back to California and a lie down. What would they say anyway? |

Watched a few Leeds podcasts this week, all very complementary about us. Whereas Johnny Rowe and his big mouth..... |

Surely we are all temporary Leeds fans now anyway? PS: Leicester actually officially cheated to get promoted. If you're going to go after anyone, make it them |
| Forum Thread | This 15 years thing at 11:40 6 May 2024
Wandering into the Lower North on Saturday, heard the "15 years, who give a f.." song for the first time, very good. And then I started thinking about how the number 15 was arrived at, and the overall desperation and tinpot nature of it. They're counting back to 2009. That'll be the season we helped kick them through the trapdoor into League One, where they spent a season while we were in the Championship - so we didn't play each other. Then there are their yo-yo years when they were in the Prem and we were in the Champ. Then there are also the years we were in League One and they were in the Prem or Champ, so we never played them, but those seasons still count apparently. A mate of mine spoke to a Norwich fan he works with yesterday, and asked him if this season will be added to the list, even if Norwich fail in the play offs. Yes, he said, because we still didn't beat them. So let's understand that fully. If we go up, earning £100m plus in the process, with the most talented and highly-rated young manager in the country, plans afoot to expand the stadium, an average crowd of 29,000 and a waiting list for season tickets, ambitious, wealthy owners and our academy poised to move from Cat Two to Cat One, and they stay down as the parachute money runs out and their best players get cherry-picked by other clubs, it's still part of their era of being number one. Am I missing something or is that truly, truly desperate. |

We know him well, and we protect him. Like the loyal tribal fighters who hid Bin Laden from the Yanks when they were hunting him after 9/11. You'll never find him. |

It was an extraordinary atmosphere, they've always been good at making a din. David Mellor was doing the BBC football phone in that night and kept saying how wonderful it was to see the joyous celebrations, the exuberance. I nearly wore my phone keys out trying to get through to put him straight. Only comical bit was when a Birmingham fan got a bit too close to the away end trying to find someone to fight and the cops ushered him in with us thinking he was a Town fan. Lost his bravado pretty quickly. |

A tasty evening, multiple pitch invasions, coins being thrown at us all night, Brum fans coming to the front of the away end offering fights. It's sold out for the visit of Norwich and I can't help but think they need to get their players off the pitch pretty quick if they send Birmingham down. Something in the water there, a large feral element to the support base. |

But Bob, sitting two miles away sipping an ale in the Dove, disapproves of that sort of thing even if he has no intention of going. (name chosen at random) |
