or do fans of other clubs have this seemingly unending desire to bring back their old players, so far this weekend we've had Flynn Downes and Arron Cresswell.
One that wanted to leave and a 34 year old to act as cover for a player who runs more yards than most players in that position.

Woke up in a bit of a mood this morning, so was just thinking about how annoyed I am that the Prem will get to use all their logos and put all their stuff on a big screen that WE own.
If they want to advertise themselves, supply the screen to us, right? Right.
But then I thought, "are we going to be forced to add another screen for VAR decisions? Especially as our screen isn't visible to everyone in the ground" |

"15 minimum major infrastructure projects" that are minimum requirements for the Premier League and will cost "several million"
This was the bit that caught my attention, "I'm going to have to come and talk to the fans about some that over the next couple of weeks"
Could be well wide of the mark, but the only thing I can think that they would need to 'talk to us' about is moving the away fans. |

Few things -
Firstly, Its been far too long since I heard the whole stadium singing in unison like that. How amazing was that? The acoustics seem to work OK when we're all together.
Secondly, The banter between the SARL where I sit and the Huddersfield fans was comedy gold at times, our united wish to see Leeds fail was stunning.
Lastly, and this is the bit that KEEPS making me well up today, Like most of us, through the late 80's, most of the 90's most of the 00's and all of the 10's I had the p*ss ripped out of me for being a Town fan, so to watch two back to back promotions, with my son who was born in Cheltenham, standing next to me, wearing his Town shirt is something I could only have dreamed of.
He's not hugely 'into' football, like I was at his age, but Town are HIS team, so to get home to Cheltenham yesterday only to see him go straight to his room and start playing Fifa as Ipswich, and to hear his voice today after singing himself hoarse yesterday is honestly, overwhelming. Singing the whole way. Wished I could have stayed, but the lad was up at 5:30 this morning so that we could get to PR.
My overall feeling right now is - WHAT HAVE WE JUST DONE?!?!?!
I'll be honest, I can't wrap my head around it all, this is what we all wanted when Evans took over, 17 years later, we're finally back there. The achievement that McKenna has just completed with this club is nothing short of astounding.
I can't type anymore, I've got tears flowing down my face right now. I'll see you in a couple of days. Enjoy the party tonight. |

But, I'd love to know what the cost of promotion to the Premier League would be for us. Outside of playing budget, there will be installation of VAR, upgrades to the floodlights, new media facilities, a dedicated box for TV coverage, I would imagine that all four sides of the ground will get LED advertising.
I've no doubt there will be other infrastructure projects, too, ingress and egress, the club have to provide 20 ethernet ports behind the goal, (10 at each end), much of which will have to be started immediately after the end of the season.
I can't imagine it'll be cheap. [Post edited 3 May 10:02]
