Premier League Transfer Window Dates Confirmed
at 18:54:51

ArnieM For all we know it is paper speculation. Of course people want to play for KM, but people want to play for ITFC now too.

Paulc How could you not take what KM said as an "I'm staying" quote? He couldn't be much more explicit without going overboard.

McKenna Linked With Manchester United
at 10:23:12

Man Utd. should be talking to KM. They should be making it clear to any applicant that it is a prestigious club and they have a lot of options. If Utd. are not in a good state, then by accepting the Utd. job KM would effectively be saying that he doesn't back himself at Premier League level. If he keeps us up next season his options will open up even further. Even if he fails with us, there will still be a lot of interest. He won't be panicking and taking a job just to tell the grand kids that he managed Utd. for a few months.

Hutchinson Recalled to Chelsea
at 13:55:49

It never pays to dwell too much on a good loanee, however good they were (Bersant Celina) comes to mind.
There is a realistic chance that we can do a deal on Omari, but there is also a good chance that an established Premier League team with a bit more cash will swoop in. Chelsea don't care about anything but the fee.
I will just be grateful for the season he had with us and what he helped us to achieve, and have no expectations of him coming back although I would welcome him back, especially as a permanent signing.

Bert I was thinking, I know he hasn't done much for the wider UK, but I'd knight this man for services to Suffolk and putting NCFC in their place.

Robins: I Think They've Been Fantastic
at 11:02:32

We only looked wobbly after we scored, after they scored we got on top of them again.
I like Robins a lot, I hope that Coventry get promoted next season and this fixture is played in the Premier League the season after that!

Coventry City 1-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 10:48:56

therein61 I think a lot of us knew that getting to the Premier League was only a matter of time. We were expectant last year to get promoted, this year I thought we had a great chance at having a crack at the league and I was expecting to secure 6th place. Never in my wildest dreams could I predict what this team has done. It is difficult to compare, but certainly KM is already up there as one of the best 4 managers in our history. If he does leave us one day, hopefully it is to manage England!

ITFC62 11 minutes sounds about right. The referee substitution took about 5 minutes, and there were some injuries and lots of substitutions.

Coventry City 1-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report

We weren't as fluent as we were against Hull, but we came out of the blocks well, but then dropped a bit too deep. If we go ahead early against Huddersfield, we really need to press the advantage, and break their spirit like we did against Exeter last season. Coventry are still capable of playing some really good stuff, so they were always a threat. They outplayed us for much of the game, but actually didn't create much compared to us. We were very nervy, yet at the same time we defended manfully and the desire to win got us over the line.
Hopefully we race into an early 3-0 lead and we can just enjoy the day on Saturday!

churchmans81 The most annoying thing wasn't the mistakes that we made, but the amazing finishes where they managed to place the ball in just about the only places they could score from.

McKenna: Players Handling Big Three-Game Week Really Well

JewellintheTown Leeds capitulated to QPR and embarrassed themselves. We let a slim lead slip. It's not the same, but whether we lose a game 1-0 or 4-0, it doesn't really matter at this stage.
I'm fairly confident that we will win tomorrow, but if things don't go to plan, I would take the point and would still be confident to beat Huddersfield for the final home game of the season.

Luongo: We're Enjoying the Ride
at 21:56:32

I was getting too much into the TWTD forum and there were way too many negative comments on there. It made me alter my view on it, and instead of dreading the Hull match, I was looking forward to it and actually enjoyed the match.
The only way to look at things (considering that we can't alter the past) is that before this round of matches we needed three wins to guarantee promotion, now we need a draw and a win. Let's enjoy the Coventry match against a side that are hopefully not as up for it as Hull were. I think a lot of people would settle for a point, but I'm hopeful of a win. If we play like we did against Hull I'm more than confident we will win given a little bit of luck.

Hull City 3-3 Ipswich Town - Match Report

d77sgw I'm not going to shoot you, but I thought that Hirst was excellent and that he suits our system well. I thought we could have left him on a little bit longer, but Moore played very well when he came on. I'm sure that Hirst needed to be eased in. Anyway, there is no doubt we looked better with those two back in the squad because whether they are starting or coming on, it makes a huge difference. Lately it has feel though injuries and illness we have not had the luxury of bringing on the finishers.

No need to wet the bed. Losers dwell on bad results. It's a shame to concede so late. KM will be focusing on the performance and that was generally excellent. It was a really intimidating environment with the fans right behind a team pushing for the playoffs. We all knew that we needed 5 points before the match and a draw wouldn't be a disaster for the toughest game we had left. We now only need a win and a draw from the last two matches against two teams with nothing to play for, you also never know which Leeds or indeed Southampton team will turn up in that match.
The only response to that setback is that we are fine and we are more than capable of doing it. We look so much better with Hirst and Burns in the team.

Leeds Thrashed at QPR
at 23:38:31

Normandyblue We just kept hanging in there the whole season. There is a typical Championship pattern where two clubs pull away from the rest and stay ahead. Leicester were fortunate to be so far ahead and for Leeds not to capitalize on all those loses.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if Leicester lose both of their remaining matches now that they are up.
