Quite like Des Buckingham’s story as well and that he’s kept them up there since Manning binned them at the first opportunity.
Seems like tensions are quite high off the back of the incidents in Norwich on Sunday. 3 arrests of norwich fans, Leeds supporter getting his neck cut apparently from something thrown at him, classy norwich supporters singing songs about Galatasaray.
Unsurprisingly a lot of p1ssed off Leeds fans and a lot of norwich supporters apparently sh1tting it. LUFC have put a statement out asking people to behave, Police presence has been beefed up and EDP put an article out earlier about it. Pink Un has a thread about unwanted tickets. Seems a lot of Norwich fans have decided against going altogether and the tickets have apparently got into the hands of some Leeds supporters in the away end.
8pm on a Thursday night as well after a good few hours on the p1ss for many people I imagine. What could go wrong. Genuinely do hope any innocent bystanders don't get caught up in anything like that but does sound like a recipe for disaster.
I feel like this is my equivalent. Some come down after this weekend, I'm absolutely knackered. At least the weather is half decent and Spring is here though. I just have to get on with all the work now that I've been unable to concentrate on for the last however long!
I’d like to say thanks to Phil, Gav, Mark, anyone else involved in providing TWTD to fans far and wide. It’s been an amazing season, off the back of an amazing one last year too. A period I dare say supporters of the club will look back on with such fondness for decades to come. The coverage of press conferences, match reports, interviews, and all the other good stuff is much appreciated. I’ve also enjoyed interacting with all the good folk on the forum, often a source of useful information whether it’s footie related or otherwise, serious or light hearted.
Goodness knows how the players and staff feel. Ashton looks knackered too, I hope he’s got a nice break lined up and can leave the phone turned off for a few days.

Beast last night. Covered every blade on the pitch I think, won some incredible turnovers in the middle, such a good performance from him off the back of a big shift Saturday too and he's one I normally worry a bit about with 3 game weeks.
.It's 24 years ago since we got promoted to the premier league. A lifetime for some, certainly a generation ago.
At full time tonight I turned to my old man to my left and noticed a tear in his eye. He took me to Town games as soon as I could walk. He's told me more recently that there was a time I didn't enjoy it because I couldn't see, so my mum would take me to the wave machine at Crown Pools while he went to the football with my older sister. Then like a light switch it changed, and I was invested. We saw playoff heartache under Burley, promotion, finishing 5th in the premier league and waving our passports at Derby away, relegation, nearly going back up under Big Joe, what felt like forever in the Championship, League 1, Covid, promotion, and dare I say it....promotion again? After 5.5 years in the academy I was so distraught when I got told I wasn't being kept on, not because I wanted it that much, but because my recurring dream was to walk out wearing our badge and seeing my dads face up in the Pioneer. I never wanted it for me, but for him.
There's so much in life that's more important than football, there's absolutely no doubt about that. I know that all too well. We lost my mum a long time ago when I was only 12. My dad bust his balls to provide for me and my sister, always presented a happy exterior even though I know now how tough it was for him practically and emotionally. Standing there today next to him at the final whistle and sharing that moment is something I wont ever forget.

Last one was deliberate to be honest, bloke in the bed next to me wont stop bleating on about being thirsty, you know where the vending machine is ffs.
2 wins / 75 points could very well be enough. It would take both WBA and Norwich winning on the final day to stop them. The latter away to Brum who need a result for survival. It’s not in their hands mathematically but it would give them a very good chance.
A draw does little for them though, as Norwich effectively become uncatchable barring a huge GD swing and the hope is then that WBA have to lose on the final day at home to Preston.
So it really is all or nothing for them tonight. Will be very interesting to see how that plays out with our bench options later on and ability to counter.
