Henderson a Summer Keane Target? - Ipswich Town News
New Town boss Roy Keane could make Sunderland midfielder Jordan Henderson one of his summer signings, according to one of this morning's national newspapers. Keane is understood to rate the 18-year-old England U19 international very highly from his time on Wearside.
Henderson was born in Sunderland and came through the youth system at the Stadium of Light and has made one League Cup start and one Premier League sub appearance for the Black Cats.
The 6ft tall right-sided player or deep-lying forward spent the second half of this season on loan at Coventry City, making nine starts and one sub appearance, scoring one goal, which came in the Sky Blues' 2-1 win at Norwich. His season was ended by a broken metatarsal earlier this month.
Sunderland see a big future for Henderson, who is contracted to the club until 2012, and a loan deal would appear more likely than a permanent move.
