Sadly, the reality is that Mick is going nowhere.
Am I happy about it? No! But the reality is that he will get at least till the end of the season. Evans has clearly given Mick a budget to try and bring in new players and if Mucks job was in any immediate danger then surely no Owner would spend money on players and then sake the manager.
Also, by sacking Mick, no replacement would be made and have enough time to utilise the January window. He'd also have to pay Mick a fortune to get him out of his contract so the danger of him losing his job any time soon has clearly passed.
The change will come with a handful of games left, so they can bring in a new management team, get everyone excited and hopefully persuade people to renew their season tickets.
So the question is, what do the fans do in the meanwhile? Because dragging myself to Portman Rd these days is the hardest it has ever been in all my years as a Town fan! |  |
