Huws 17:18 - Mar 14 with 1556 views

Most good midfield player when he has the ball, the best we have but not so sure he is a Mick sort of player. He could have done much better in the goals scored by Norwich Brentford and again on Saturday. Just a slight worry for me.

No , not really blaming him just think he might have done better in all 3 of them. Watch them again, Both him and Tommy Smith fail to attempt to make a block for the Norwich goal and he should get pressure on the Brentford player, who get ball into the box for their goal but he just stands off,Berra gives him a rocket for that,and Saturday's goal was soft defending by him and Spence. Maybe just that he hasn't played much and he will get sharper, i hope so.

But that has been Micks main problem, too many hard working players in the middle but no quality. The reason Chelsea can play Pedro and Hazard is that Matic and Kante do the hard work, same with Man Utd - Pogba is protected by the hard working Carrick and Herrara. We need a ball playing midfielder like Huws to help with the attacking - where Skuse and Diagorrora protect the back four whilst also assisting with our build up play.

Huws is a player we have been desperate for - and with 3 centre backs and 2 holding midfielders its not Huws job to be defending. So i feel its harsh to moan at him for the goals.

Worth remembering that in the build up to Brentford's goal, Huws had lost one of his boots. Would have been great for him to do a Brian Whittle and play on with one boot, but how good a tackle he could have made would be open to debate.
