Whilst having a fairly gloomy outlook for next season (in spite of being a 'renewer'), the potential progression of our young players is currently my only hope that we can avoid a season-long relegation battle.
Ward and Webster should be better next year and if our homegrown talent (Smith, Bishop, Kenlock, Emmanuel, Dozzell and a few others) stay fit and make progress, that's our chance of at least looking towards the top half.
I think that, because a few players become internationals in their teens, it's easy to write off the potential for players to progress in their early twenties. As things stand, brighter futures for young players we already have seems to be the best chance we have of competing next year. |  | | |

Living in the past, the team today is a borderline relegation side that fails to create goals and that is why i say ward has done good scoring goals. | | | |
