Also, I really don't like most of the things the Tories stand for, but I thought the coalition wasn't an altogether bad thing, sure the Lib Dems came out of it terribly, but the idea of the checks and balances which comes from representational coalition government must by definition be better than handing over the keys to any of the big three unconditionally?

It was always unlikely that I was going to vote for the Labour candidate under Corbyn - after last night there is now no chance. I just can't see him as a Prime Minister. Didn't convince me on a number of things sadly. Having said that I thought he did better than Milliband at the last election. |
Interestingly I'm usually a labour supporter (in near on 30 years I've never voted for anyone else - despite living in a huge Tory area here and in my previous area where the mp was one Kenneth Clarke). At the time the election was announced I could see no way that I could even contemplate voting for Corbyn, I was dead set on voting for the tories as I thought Mrs May was (and still do) the only one who will bring about a stable exit from the EU, however on her other policies I don't trust her anymore than I trust Corbyn on Brexit or Diane Abbott with anything. I truly am a floating voter who knows not who I will be voting for on 8th June and may still not even know when I walk into the polling station

Simple choice really: We have a Labour manifesto actually crafted by Labour values. We haven't had that for yonks! First time for me
I went in biased, so may be wrong on 21:46 - May 30 with 2254 views | tcblue | It's a tricky one alright. I've long believed that the old adage about not voting not having a voice is nuts. If there's nobody you feel is competent for the job, surely your job (right) as an elector is to make that point, and give a vote of no confidence (spoil ballot)? What if you have no confidence even in the current system, let alone the parties?

He might be like me and think it distasteful that the state gives one family wealth beyond imagination while thousands of others have to queue at food banks. [Post edited 31 May 2017 7:24]

Agreed. We're scraping the bottom of a very deep barrel. We've reached that point in the political cycle where the front benches are third division at best. Whoever gets the keys to number ten will leave us royally screwed when they hand them back.
