Most of the places near the ground are full of home fans so nearest is probably New Cross Gate, pub opposite the station which is 15 minutes walk away. Otherwise London Bridge remains the best option. |  |

Plenty of safe places to eat & drink before game. Depends how near ground you want... assume walking distance from ground / station.
The Rose - opposite New Cross Gate Station
There are plenty of pubs New Cross & Old Kent Road within walking distance of both New Cross Stations and the ground. Don't recommend Bermondsey but most town fans will drink near London Bridge.
