MM and McGoldrick 18:09 - Sep 30 with 1348 viewsfelixblue

Whilst i am by know means a MM out kinda guy and i am so glad he came in when he did as i think another 3 games without him here would have sent us down that year. I also feel he did the best he could this summer and finally we have some goals in the side, yes we have had bad luck with injury problems but 2 weeks before the window closed we were aware of those injury issues and the club should have done more to resolve it. MM does have to answer for the poor tactics at times and going the wrong way about moving us forward with the style of football we play. I do think the club should hold out till the New Year and see where we are then before they take the option of extending MM stay here and it pains me to say it but maybe even look at a change in the summer 2018. As for McGoldrick he is without a doubt on his day the best player we have in the side to get things moving but for the last 3-4 seasons whenever he is out of the side we have had no-one to replace that threat. I do hope if he is out again that its not for long, my point with him is his contract i do feel that if we get a sensible offer in the next window we should let him move on anyone that can get a whole season out of him will be lucky and we rely far to much on him being in the side. I know people won't agree with a lot if any of that but these 2 things in my opinion have cost us dearly for at least 2 seasons now and i think Evans needs to come up with a 5 year plan that the fans can buy into to turn us round for the long haul. There is a lot to work with here already but we are still maybe 4 good quality players away from a side able to hold a challenge over 46 games to climb out of this horrid league we are in.
