Some things you can wish for, and not having a place in the premier league isn't one of them, except when it is. Or isn't. Now put THAT on yer banner. [Post edited 22 Dec 2017 18:41]

My point is the increased debt.Yes,turnover is up but no mention of profit. With respect to Brighton,i don't see their spending has guaranteed mid-table,it appears they'll be dragged into the relegation places and possibly the Championship. Is the Premiership the Holy Grail?Maybe not!

No, those of us who watched Indiana Jones know it is a wooden cup, now being used as the trophy for the Carabao Cup, I believe.

The gambled. It paid off. I would imagine they are debt free and have plenty in the bank to fund a promotion drive if they come down. The only reason Norwich seem to be going tits up is that they got a bit arrogant and above their station. If they had kept to their original plan of budgeting assuming they were going to get relegated and investing in a top Championship team they might well still be in the Premier league.

They wished for Prem football. They didn't wish for increased debt. You are making a very poor case for not wanting the Prem.

So our increasing debt and rotting in this league means we're in a better situation?
