Jermain Defoe 10:34 - Nov 15 with 4027 views | snipes | If he was available in Jan and if we could afford him, a big IF i know , who would take him on load till end of season ? not getting much game time down south . [Post edited 15 Nov 2018 10:34]

seriously , take a look at his goal record 999—2004 West Ham United 93 (29) 2000—2001 → AFC Bournemouth 29 (18) 2004—2008 Tottenham Hotspur 139 (43) 2008—2009 FC Portsmouth 31 (16) 2009—2014 Tottenham Hotspur 135 (47) 2014 FC Toronto 19 (11) 2014 → Tottenham Hotspur 2 (1) 2015—2017 AFC Sunderland 87 (34) 2017— AFC Bournemouth 24 (4)

Jermain Defoe on 10:57 - Nov 15 with 3124 views | WeWereZombies | Would he get the service he needs to get into those goal scoring positions? I could see Lambert being forced to set up the team for a one shot strategy, easy for the opposition to work out and stifle. Plus, it wouldn't be for an entire game so there would have to be a sea change in tactics when he was subbed or came on second half.

Jermain Defoe on 11:03 - Nov 15 with 3101 views | TheTrueBlue1878 | Great goal record, unbelievable goal scorer, one of the most natural goal scorers this country has produced. But this would never happen in a million years. Last year signed a contract around 130k a week, signed a three year deal last year worth 19.5 million over 3 years. Over double any other Bournemouth player. Even if we took a subsidized loan at 10% by Town, we'd be paying him 13k a week. Bournemouth wouldn't loan him out unless another club would subsidize the loan at 30-35% minimum. Also, we need a focal point, big and strong and knows the championship. I don't think he is genuinely comparing the two, if he is he is way off. But I also think you're way off in thinking we can get someone of Defoe caliber and wage bill. We have to be looking more at people like Daryl Murphy, Chris Martin, Rudy Gestede and Sam Gallagher. And we'd even have to subsidize loan them.

I never said i think we could , i said what if ? and a big if at that Because you never know that as a player he just wants to play footy as he is 36 now and not got long left and has probably made enough money and would rather play than sit on the bench [Post edited 15 Nov 2018 11:30]

Agree in terms of think he will want to play football. And i also agree he will move in January, but saw Swansea and Leeds were battling for him today, think them 2 teams could offer a bigger percentage in terms of loan split.

Kayden Jackson is a really really raw striker as Nouble was. Very similar to Nouble that he hads pace to rip through defenders, but cannot do too much else at the moment. £1.6m for him is figure i'll never ever get my head around.

you don't lose talent overnight, he's still fit and could do a job but it would take a lot longer for Jackson to get close to Defoe in terms of talent
