If history is anything to go by... 21:24 - Jan 30 with 1229 viewsDarkblue

If Evans is going to sack Lambert it will be announced tomorrow.

Hurst, Jewell and Keane were all sacked the day after defeats.

Fingers crossed!

We didn't get beaten though.

And Magilton was sacked after beating(and effectively relegating) Norwich.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Are you letting facts get in the way of a good story again?

I'm desperately trying to cling onto any small piece of hope that Evans might sack him.

Clearly need to brush up on my fact checking skills though!

Under Evans all of the managers but Hurst were sacked (or left) after home matches - Magilton v Norwich, Keane v Nottingham Forest, Jewell v Derby and Mick v Barnsley.

Now this is the sort of obscure fact that backs up my hopes that I can get behind!

Hmm one flaw with this point.... We neither play a Scottish team or a team Lambert has played for or managed.

Ok so Magic didn't play for Naaaridge

Keane, Jewell and Mick, either played for or managed those teams. Hurst was sacked after defeat to a team from Yorkshire, which doesn't quite fit the pattern.

Hmm? I just meant all but one manager was sacked by Evans, or left the club, after a game at Portman Road. Hurst is the outlier. But to continue your point he was born in Yorkshire - is that enough?

We could just go with they were all sacked after a poor run of form that saw them get fewer than 12 points from the previous 33 available? (Assuming that is true.)

Unfortunately, Evans has learned from those mistakes and realised he is always picking a worse manager than the one he has. He has therefore decided that it is safer to stick with the manager you know is doing terribly than choose one who may well do worse. BCWYWF.

Other than Mick replacing Jewell.

I have actually been quite chipper tonight, as I have assumed Lambert will be gone by Monday.

Now I'm not so sure and not so chipper.
