Away training grounds 19:33 - Oct 1 with 1136 viewsKungfuBlue

I see town are using The Cliff which was Man Utd’s old training ground before they moved to Carrington. We used St George’s last time up the north west as well.

I don’t recall us doing that much in the past though I may be wrong, I assume it must cost a decent amount to do so. What did we do previously and as I only follow town is this something other teams do as well?

I’ve known for us to do it a couple of times before.

They travelled up yesterday, so two nights away, quite an expense. Goes to show there’s no expense spared!

Let’s hope it turns out to be good preparation! Won’t be many clubs in this league that can afford the luxury.

I imagine most teams only travel down the day before the game after training anyway but I remember some team using Colchester Utds training ground before.

Back in my student days, early 80s, I used to watch ManU train at The Cliff. Awesome. (They were rubbish in those days).
