Ideally not route one, unless there is a clear chance for a direct goal.

I would have thought into London then out to MK. Fast train from London gets you to MK in under an hr

Thanks. There seem to be a couple of options from London including Bletchley and a half hour walk to the ground. Any experience of this?

If arriving early probably best to go for MK Central and find a pub near there for a few hours and then a cab to the ground. If aiming to go straight to the retail park where the ground is then Bletchley is your best bet, either a walk or a cab from there. As far as I remember, Uber should operate from both of those places.

Bletchley is only a 20 minute walk from the ground, definitely the nearest station.

Probably via Cambridge and Finsbury park which is slightly shorter than 4 hours and doesn't involve a bus.

...and yet it always seems to take three times as long to walk from the ground back to the station. Something of an enigma.

The walk from the Bletchley isn't too bad of you're going to head straight to the ground though there are usually some taxis parked up outside the station, might be easier

I don't know how many years we have heard about an East - West rail link from Cambridge -Oxford via Bletchley. It would have been useful tomorrow.

And it would cost a fraction of the money being piled into the largely unwanted HS2.

The state of cross-country trains in this country is shocking.

Maybe they should put a more money into infrastructure that doesnt terminate in or cross London, call it something snappy, maybe something like levelling up.
