Having not really had a family holiday before, Mrs LowerNorth wants to book a holiday.. take the kids away… Disneyland Paris maybe… great Idea let’s go for it I said, you only live once blah blah blah…
I suggested May half-term ðŸ¤¦ðŸ¼â€â™‚ï¸ perfect! She said …. I was about to pull the trigger and book it… and then it dawned on me… EFL play off weekend!! ðŸ˜¬ðŸ˜«

Think of an elaborate excuse (not football related) and shift the planned dates slightly??

With Mrs LN and the youngsters away in Paris you will be able to really let your hair down.

I really wouldn't want to do Disneyland Paris during the May Bank Holiday -you would spend 95% of your time in queues. See if there is any way you can do a long weekend - do your kids schools have inset days? - so that you can pick a quieter time and also avoid the clash with Playoff weekend.
I am ashamed to say I missed the Playoff semis in 2000 against Notlob due to work (I went the previous season), and I still regret it to this day.
