My final league table 11:20 - Mar 23 with 4013 viewsDyland

Sheffield Wednesday 100 48
Ipswich Town 98 53
Barnsley 96 42
Plymouth Argyle 96 31

So it definitely won't be this, cos my predictions are always hopelessly wrong.

I really don't get this school of thought. To go up automatically we have to hope that the teams above us drop points (no matter if that's Wednesday or Plymouth), this is out of our control but has happened and people think it's a bad thing!

Barnsley can only go level with us if they win their game in hand, we are still to play them so this is in our control. If we want automatics we just have to concentrate on what we can do, hope that at least one of the teams above makes a hash of it and not worry about what those below us can do.

As I see it’s, Plymouth will drop more points than Barnsley in the remainder of the season.
We have to play Barnsley as well as several other tough looking fixtures.
Keeping Barnsley out of reach from us allows us to catch and overhaul Plymouth without the worry of them doing the same to us.

Interesting that nobody dares predict below 90 for any of the top 4. For what it's worth, I've got:
Wednesday 99 +47 (final day defeat to Derby stops them getting 100 points)
Ipswich 98 +54
Plymouth 97 +35
Barnsley 95 +42

I ended up with Sheffield securing 99 pts
Town & Plymouth 97pts
Barnsley 95 pts.

My predictions included a last day draw against Fleetwood.

All down to L last game then. Win and we are champions , draw and we go up as second, lose and it’s playoffs. I guess the third option would be the Ipswich way.

With the form the teams have, I wouldn't be surprised if this is close to it

I had us on 3rd, 2 points behind Plymouth when I did this yesterday. Convert one of our draws to a win and we’d go up on goal difference.

I think I played it fair with the results. Plymouth lost at Exeter and drew with Bristol Rovers, Lincoln and Morecambe. We lost at Barnsley, beat Derby and drew with Wycombe, Peterborough and Fleetwood. Barnsley lost to Peterborough and drew at Lincoln, Exeter and MK Dons.

These calculators are fun but pointless....or at least not as many points as you would hope less

On each site guess what, the calculators show that in the majority of cases the side supported gets just enough points to make the final two....

That there is going to be a ridiculously high points tally that doesn't make the top two is beyond doubt.

Goal difference favours Wednesday and you guys, which means we have to surpass the points total of the teams we want to finish above.

The run ins favour us, Wednesday and then Barnsley

Injuries favour Barnsley, you and us over Wednesday

Fixture congestion appears to favour us except we play as many as Barnsley in the same number of days when you factor in the PJT.

Recent form favours Barnsley and you, then us, then Wednesday.

Overall PPG favours us and Wednesday.

The next week sees Wednesday either make a significant step forward or open the door wider for the three chasing them ( but you have to assume they should get between four and nine points by the time Easter comes around).

Shrewsbury away followed by Exeter away will be pivotal for us....take three to six points from those we have a run of three home games on the bounce.

I still think it is wide open....none of the top four will win every game ( and you and Barnsley both can't) anyway.

Whoever gets 96+ will deserve it if they go up.

I suspect we will be fielding a good but far from full strength side at Wembley....Schumacher already indicating he will use it to get minutes in the legs of those returning from injury like Randell and possibly Cosgrove.

Whatever happens no-one can argue that it hasn't been exciting.....

One Game at a Time then .....
