Holiday Inn Express and a Premier Inn right in the town centre.
Midland Hotel is dirt cheap, right by the train station, but not the best quality you'll ever see.

Edit: Just spotted that the London Inn has a room available, bit further out, a taxi may be required.

Edit 2: Alice Guest House in a good location for the ground. Well reviewed too.

I'm staying at the Premier Inn in the town centre, which apparently is in the "brewery quarter". Liked the sound of that!

Little bit of a walk to the ground, but dare say we'll pop in a pub or two en route.

Thank you both for info. Couple of options I’ve looked at.

The Brewery Quarter is the site of the old Whitbread Brewery that was in town. Now there's loads of places to eat, (Nando's, Five Guys, Son of Steak etc) and loads of bars too.

Theres also a ten pin bowling place (Hollywood Bowl) and a Cineworld.

Surely you're doing an open house, it's what the club would want.

Ashton and O'Leary are stopping with me. I've got O'Leary digging some fence post holes on Monday morning before he goes to the ground. Ashton is making the bacon sandwiches.
