If Morsy goes who do you think will be captain?

Needs to be someone certain to start most weeks and looking through the team it's a tricky one to call. Personally I think it would be Chaplin purely as I can't see who else it could be....unless we get a Morsy type replacement.

FWIW I think Morsy will be off. These Saudi teams are not going after Champ players without a tip off that the player they are chasing would be keen.

I would have said Evans or Aluko but the latter is not guaranteed starting and Evans always carries the chance of injury.

Woolfenden for me, although think Walton more likely McKenna's choice

Walton.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

Chaplin for sure. Ready made captain material, although with the rotation KM likes in forward areas it's probably not ideal to have your skipper taken off after an hour. Positionally probably suits Woolf more.

It's quite a bit of pressure, I'd rather Chaplin didn't have anything else to worry about than scoring another 20!

He rarely gets subbed tbf... I think he's captain material.

Bring a captain in. Someone with something about them like Morsey. We will need that steel and clubs may not be so bothered about us with Taylor and Luongo in the middle.

Will not be expanding on this but Chaplin's physical stature and style of play make him totally unsuitable to be captain.

Would have to be Walton out of who is left.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

He's not so very much shorter than Mick Mills, who didn't do so badly as Town captain, and of course captained England at a World Cup. I'm not really sure why his style of play makes him unsuitable. His style of everything always seems to be inclusive and supportive as far as I can see.
